Counseling Approach

I help clients set goals for themselves in order to live the most fulfilling life possible. I help identify places where clients may feel stuck and want change. I love to help clients create new patterns in relationships to cultivate deeper communication and growth. I believe in creating a safe space for people to be vulnerable and heal.

Called to Counseling

Since I was a child, I knew I wanted a career helping people. I either wanted to be a teacher, a missionary, or a counselor. I ended up serving overseas conducting humanitarian endeavors for several years in my early 20’s. I developed a deep passion for helping unreached people groups and spent time in China, Russia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. I worked as a pre-school and infant teacher for 15 years. I have always valued relationships as the most important thing in my life. This has made transitioning into the role of a therapist effortless. I especially love helping couples connect on a deeper emotional and intimate level.

A little about Lindsay:

I was born and raised in Seattle, WA. I grew up in a single parent home, which helped shape my desire to see couples and family relationships thrive. I left home when I was 18 to conduct humanitarian work in Asia. I stayed in the Philippines for four years working with orphans, local churches, schools, and indigenous people groups. I also spent time conducting mission work in China, Malaysia, and Russia. Living in other cultures deepened my understanding about how very different and yet how similar humans behave and what they value. In my free time I enjoy hiking, swimming, traveling, baking, and spending time with family, friends, and my adorable bunny Chestnut!
